Oops, I did it again. No, I’m not channeling Ms. Spears, but I DID exercise and then not blog about it yesterday! So today I’ll tell you about both workouts from the last two nights and then I’ll go do tonight’s workout.

And here’s the rundown for Days 15 & 16:

Activity: Strength Training, Cardio, Abs
Activity Length: 7-8 minutes
Difficulty: Hard. I did a series of  jumping jacks, pushups, crunches, squats and lunges with presses and raises, at least 50 of each, as fast as I could tear through them without compromising technique and fully extending the movements. My goal was to raise my heart beat as much as possible, push my endurance, and build strength. Both times a total of at least 300 repetitions in about 7-8 minutes. I know that it’s not a high calorie burning workout, but I noticed that I gain a lot of strength and endurance from pushing myself like that (the 1st time I tried it I made it to 45 crunches without pausing, the last time, all 50; the first time I used 1.5 lb weights, the 2nd I used 2lb weights.) I’d have rather done a longer workout and burned more calories but I didn’t leave myself enough time for that.
How I feel: Physically, I was worn out, and it felt like it took 5-10 minutes for my heartrate to slow down! Otherwise, I was disappointed that I hadn’t gotten my workout done earlier, so that even if I’d still gotten sidetracked and not realized how late it was, it would have already been done.
Tomorrow: Back on the 30 Day Shred wagon!

P.S. – Did you know that NO ONE linked to last Friday’s check in post? Hmm… have all of my little exercisers gotten sidetracked, too? =)

Hey, y’all! I’m Amber and I wear many hats. I drink a ton of coffee and I’m constantly sweeping crumbs off the floor. After 20+ years of homeschooling, we are starting over at preschool with our fourth, Lil Miss Mouse. She keeps us young and she’s the main reason for my excessive coffee consumption. Drink up!
