I’m “spilling the beans “on one of my organizing techniques for my kitchen “Organizing Round-Up.” Literally. 😛
One of the things I’m working on as I organize my kitchen is my pantry. As I peered into my dark and oh-so-small-and-overcrowded pantry, I assessed the various storage needs screaming for attention. One of which was a stack (I say “stack” loosely) of bags of various dried beans. As the stack spilled to the left and slipped to the right while I tried to straighten it, I mentally jotted that down on my “to be organized” list, along with the storage solution I had in mind.
Ziploc storage containers.
Well, technically they were store brand containers. I found some that would hold a pound of beans and stack nicely. I think they were five for three bucks. I got home and immediately switched all my beans over and stacked them into my pantry, all nice and neat like.
The organizing angels sang.
Imagine what they’d do if I got the label maker I want. 😉
This week, while Shannon in Africa, WFMW is hosted by Melanie at “Don’t Try This At Home.”
We LOVE Ziploc bags. We use them for everything! Glad your pantry is a happier, more organized place. 🙂
I happen to store mine in reused Spaghetti jars. 28 oz. or larger. I also quiz the kids on identifying what kind of bean is in what jar. So it becomes a learning experience as well. They can only identify balck beans so far.
Hey! How are you all feeling? You are missed and loved!
