Somebody told me about a pretty radical idea the other day and I just haven’t decided if I we should try it yet! A lady told me about a friend that prepares the exact same thing every week. Every monday it’s dish A for dinner, every Tuesday dish B and so on. Her family knows exactly what to expect, she knows exactly what to put on her shopping list, and she knows how much her grocery bill is going to be. My first thought was that my family, my husband especially, would complain about the repetition. I definitely didn’t think my husband would be in favor of such a plan – but I was wrong! He heard me talking about it and intervened: “that sounds like my kind of plan!” My response? “For reals?!?”

So apparently as long as they were seven meals that he liked, he’d really be okay with it. I’m not entirely sure that I would, ๐Ÿ˜‰ , so I thought that perhaps one night a week could be “Surprise Night” or something, where I fix something different every Thursday night, for example.

So what do you think? Would you be able to handle cooking the same thing every week? Would your family like it? (Anybody else out there do that already?) I’m still trying to wrap my brain around it. For this week, I’m sticking to a simple plan and we’ll just see if any of it repeats for next week. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey, yโ€™all! Iโ€™m Amber and I wear many hats. I drink a ton of coffee and Iโ€™m constantly sweeping crumbs off the floor. After 20+ years of homeschooling, we are starting over at preschool with our fourth, Lil Miss Mouse. She keeps us young and sheโ€™s the main reason for my excessive coffee consumption. Drink up!
