Well, it’s time.

Time to get back into some old healthy habits, and add some new ones. Isn’t that always the case? But I know myself well after years and years of off and on healthy habits, and one thing I know for sure is that I need to start simple and take baby steps. I can’t try to change a dozen things all at once or it’s going to fail!

So this week (and maybe the next week, too) I’m focusing on some specific things:

1.) Go to bed and get up on time.

2.) Start my day with time with the Lord.

3.) Use my food diary with MyFitnessPal.com (I have an app for it, and at this point I’m not worried too much about WHAT I eat as much as I’m building the habit of paying attention and writing it all down. Besides, I eat better when I write it down anyway! If you want to join me, my username is “mrsamberoliver.” Come find me!)

4.) Drink enough water.

That’s it. And that’s a lot! If I can build these habits well they will be the framework for other healthy habits that I add later.

For some accountability, I’m joining up with Dollie’s Health Habits weekly link on her blog, Teachers of Good Things.

Hey, y’all! I’m Amber and I wear many hats. I drink a ton of coffee and I’m constantly sweeping crumbs off the floor. After 18 years of homeschooling, I’m getting close to graduating my third child and now we are starting over at preschool with our fourth, Lil Miss Mouse. She keeps us young and she’s the main reason for my excessive coffee consumption. Drink up!
