I’ve been quiet.
Too quiet.
I didn’t really want to write. Nothing major, just being really busy with really good things, and when I wasn’t, really down and glum. It was kind of weird vacillating back and forth between really good highs and really bad lows for the past two weeks. We’ve had good visits with good friends, we’ve lost chickens to the heat, we lost another chicken to a dog, my mom treated the kids and I to lunch one day, I had a stomach bug, the cat killed my cucumber plant and to end on a high note… after one of the longest, hardest droughts we’ve ever had… yesterday we finally got rain. Hallelujah and praise God!!
On the upside, I’ve gotten a lot of housework, lesson planning and reading done. So there’s that. And there’s still more that needs to be done. ; ) Isn’t there always?
And also during my blogging absence I’ve gotten behind on the homeschooling ABCs meme — you know how I feel about skipping and going out of order. ; ) So I’m just warning you there’s going to be some catching up on that throughout the day today and tomorrow so that I can jump back in Tuesday. Letter’s Q and R. I already know what I’m going to write.. I just need to write it. : )
I’m glad you’re back! I actually was checking yesterday just to make sure I didn’t miss anything 🙂 It’s been a bit of a roller coaster week here too… Cheers to a new week! Hope it’s a GREAT one!!
It’s glad to see you back! Your blog is in my sidebar and I noticed you hadn’t posted in a while. Sometimes, though, there’s just not much to say (and – it sounds like me in that sometimes when there are ups and downs you just can’t figure out WHAT to write).
I’ll look for your ABC catch up!

Is it normal to spend $500 and then some each school year on two students 8th & 10th graders? Do we have to have our children tested each year & where do I do that if so? Is Language Arts considered an equivalent English Credit… Read more »
