Wait–it’s been a week? DUDE. The year isn’t supposed to be flying by this fast already. ; )
And what a crazy, busy week this has been!
This week I:
- started trying to get up earlier to read and pray (for 3 in 30.)
- started homeschooling again after a Christmas break (because it was time.)
- planned lesson plans for the whole month of January (because I didn’t during the break.)
- started and mostly finished re-designing my lists and charts for my home management binder (for 3 in 30.)
- began working toward my goal of not having dirty laundry or dishes when I go to bed (for 3 in 30.)
- started reading the bible at the beginning to read all the way through (for Bible in 90 Days, double accountability for my first 3 in 30 goal.)
And if this weren’t enough… I’ve also been suffering from allergies pretty bad, wrestling a full time sinus headache because of it and trying to prevent a sinus infection from developing out of it.
That’s kind of put a kink in things, but all in all it has still been a pretty good week!
The first two days of this week I got up earlier, did my reading and praying and got a good start on my day. The past two days, with the headache, I slept in a little later and didn’t get off to a great start. Despite the headache, though, I did make sure that I got at least one load of laundry and one load of dishes done each day, so that I didn’t get behind. I also worked on the home management binder sheets and will have them ready to begin the next week, which was my goal.
So I’ll keep working on these, and hopefully next week will be a little less over-packed because I won’t have all the lesson planning and home management binder making to do. Here’s hoping, anyway. ; )

I too had one of those weeks with a rocky start, but I am encouraged by all those taking on this 3 in 30 challenge. The battle seems to really pick up right before a victory. Blessings to you, and I will add you to my prayer list.
I need to work on the no dirty dishes in my sink when I go to bed, too! 😉 Sounds like you’re doing great with your goals!
You have got a FULL plate!! Love your positive attitude. I’m doing the 3in30 too, had to make some adjustments in my world because it “was a week” there are always things that trip us up, but we have to move forward.
Isn’t getting up early refreshing? That’s one of my routines too, love it! I hope you feel better. =)
Keeping it Personal,
Teri
I am so glad you are reading the Bible in 90 Days with us and I am excited for what you will hear in the coming weeks.
Hang tight and you CAN do this! 🙂
Praying for you!
I love your no dirty dishes before bed goal! I used to do that, what happened? I might have to adopt it myself. Notice I totally ignored the laundry. Impossible in this house. There are too many of us, and the system I have works, when I implement it. I’ll grant you I haven’t been, but that’s another story.
I’m stopping by from 3in30 as well.
Whew! Just reading your list made me tired! You’ve gotten so much done- good for you (and with a headache, bless your heart)! I’m visiting from 3in30. I’ll be subscribing so I can keep up with your posts. Cheers to getting our 2011 goals met! Happy New Year.
Hello there~
Stopping by via 3 in 30!
I had to giggle at the dirty dishes goal because you are about the 3rd blog that I’ve read that has had that.. too funny.. guess I’m not the only one that struggles with that.
Hope to be back by to visit again soon.
This week did go by quickly didn’t it. Wow!
Great job on your goals thus far. I hope your headache goes away and all the sinus junk too. Being under the weather makes it harder to do the things we want.
There will always be laundry and dishes. One load at a time is all we can do. Isn’t a great feeling though when we feel like we are all caught up on this task?
Have a great weekend!
(stopping by from the 3in30 linkup)
Sounds like we’ve been battling the same sinus allergies turned cold/infection this week! I did okay at the beginning of the week, but the last few days have been challenging. Praying for health and clear heads next week. We can do this together!!
Lynda – “The battle seems to really pick up right before a victory.” So true! Thank you for the encouragement. Hope – It’s such a hard rule to stick to! I really dislike doing the dishes after supper. I’d so much rather be lazy. Teri – Getting up before the kids IS really refreshing.. it’s the best way to start the day.. I just wish it wasn’t so darn early. =p Thanks, Amy, I’m looking forward to it, too! TammiGirl LOL! I know what you mean about dropping out of good habits.. Seems like I’m doing that all the time.… Read more »
It has been a quick week, hasn’t it…but sounds like you’ve started the year off well. Hopefully you’ll feel better soon and get even more of your goals accomplished!
