Popinjay: Joyful & Sweet Shot Tuesday (Double Header)

Joyful little princesses dance upon the breeze, picking flowers here and there as easy as you please…

One little Princess turning ten receives a joyful prize, a little “garden” of her own, she “Oohs” and “Aahs” and sighs.

My red-caped Princess gardener the watering can does fill, and as the flowers drink it in she’s careful not to spill.

The little roots can stretch and grow and every corner seek, and on the “roots” of Princess girl, funky socks do peek. 😉

Ah pansy little happy flower, full of so much joy! If only you’d share your happy source instead of acting coy.

What’s this I see beyond the flowers picking at the grass? A flower-picking Princess – what a sneaky little lass!

The happy Princess picking flowers I hardly can resist, and so I snap a few more pics – like this…

and that…

and this.

And what was my little Princess doing, that busy little bee? Flowers for flowers, a joyful bouquet– she picked them just for me!

This week’s Popinjay photo prompt was “Joyful!” Hosting this week (for Michelle) is Heather @ L’Chaim!

I’m also linking to Sweet Shot Tuesday @ Life With My 3 Boybarians. For the one just above in particular, but also, well, all of them. =) Joyful AND sweet. Now that’s a deal. =)

Oh, I love this series. I especially love the ones where she’s out of focus in the background. It lends to a sense of mystery.

Coco- Thank you, she’s my sweet girl. =) Sue- THANK YOU. I’m always telling my husband (as he’s critiquing my photos and telling me how he’d do them different ;0) ) that we have a different approach. He’s all about the one perfect posed but natural-looking shot.. I’m all about telling the story. 😉 Lisa- My kids LOVE capes! That day she was actually a Musketeer. =P Sheri – I consider myself a fairly well educated and vocabulary savvy lady but you had me there with “nosegay!” I had to go look that up! Karina – Thanks, thanks, thanks! It… Read more »

Thank you, Heather #1! I rarely ever get to post pics of my kids on my
blog, since I have a no faces rule. I have to get creative (like the
bouquet in front of her face.) It was so fun to take the shots of her
picking flowers in the background. =)

Heather #2 – Welcome and thanks for popping over. =0)

Thank you, Terry. Mission accomplished.

Katie – Thanks! I’m enjoying getting back into my poetic side! =)

it doesn’t get any better than that… never.
How could one not be full of joy just looking at the progression of your photos. Smiling deep.

I was out working in my flower garden today and experienced a “joyful” moment too. But there were no colorful blooms involved.. at least not yet!

My first time joining Popinjay

Poetry and images: the juxtaposition was fabulous. I love the coy way she’s hiding her face (though I adore capturing the elusive headshot from a shy child). Visiting from M3B SST!
