It’s time for Pensieve’s Poetic License – and the subject is one I can really get behind and write about – AUTUMN. This is my 2nd favorite time of year! I just love it! I won’t say too much, I’ll let the poetry do the talking. Having said that – I don’t think I can write just one!
Autumn
Colorful costumes: red, orange, and yellow.
Heralded by the first cool breeze,
As summer’s heat begins to mellow.
The winds of change blow through the trees-
Softly, Autumn comes and summer flees.
Here’s my 2nd, another variation of the Cinquain – this one focusing on “the harvest.”
Harvest
Ready, Abundant
Waiting, Maturing, Bowing
Roll up your sleeves, it’s ripe for the picking
Yield
I probably shouldn’t point this out, but you can read that last one with either the physical autumn harvest or the spiritual harvest as the subject. Does it ruin it for me to say that? ๐
Okay, and I’m going to throw in a Wordle — with all this talk about Wordles, which I have seen before but never MADE. For your viewing pleasure: my Autumnal Wordle (because I just can’t fit this many words into a Cinquain!)
I guess fall is the time for everything to be harvested. Nicely done!

PastorMacs Ann – Thank you! I enjoyed it.
Love this time of year! ๐
Lisa – Thanks! I have to give credit: my girls helped me come up with words for fall to include in both the poems and the wordle.
Peculiar – Yeah, the Wordles are pretty neat – I made some more. ๐
Thanks for the sweet compliments! (I still need to stop by and read everybody elses…)
Herb of Grace – Thanks! I just couldn’t imagine doing a poem about fall without the colors. ๐
Oh Amber, you outdid yourself!! These were GREAT!! I love the words, the colors, the imagery, everything. Great job. I’m glad I stopped by. That Wordle thing…how neat!!

Your poems are terrific! Love the “Harvest” one with both it’s meanings. So clever.
Love the last three lines of that first one. They’re especially gorgeous!
