Tip: Don’t leave a cast iron skillet sitting next to the sink; it may get water on under it and leave a rust stain.
Tip: You can remove said rust stains from your counter top with your homemade dishwasher detergent and a stiff scrub brush (as stiff as is safe to use on your counter surface.)
Proof: After a few minutes of scrubbing and with minimal elbow grease, the rust stain is gone for good.
Note: Scrub time and effort may vary with different counter types.
Note: I’ve used this on new stains and old stains with success.
