Hey, yโall! Iโm Amber and I wear many hats. I drink a ton of coffee and Iโm constantly sweeping crumbs off the floor. After 20+ years of homeschooling, we are starting over at preschool with our fourth, Lil Miss Mouse. She keeps us young and sheโs the main reason for my excessive coffee consumption. Drink up!
My biggest challenge is dealing with my daughter getting frazzled over math.
Math isn’t one I struggle with at this time, I used to teach elementary school.
I’m not too familiar with that math program.
Love them!
Would like to win this!
My biggest hangup in math is teaching the memory stuff. The processes that build upon each other are easy to teach.
What a great gift! And thanks for the party.
I have not used Horizons math, but have close friends that have – they love it!
My challenge in teaching math is that numbers do not stay in my head. I have to work hard to keep my brain wrapped around the concepts.
Love Currclick
Love the FB party! Thanks for the door prize opportunity!
I love horizons math
I haven’t used Horizons math either but one’s that I know who use it really like it. Our biggest challenge for math is completing worksheets. My oldest son hates it and doesn’t want to work any review problems.
Avoiding frustration. I need to try hard to figure out ways of explaining things that will make sense to them.
yes use horizon before
I love currclick!!
I am struggling with finding a math curriculum that my eldest likes. She’s entering 8th and needs to brush up on pre-algebra. We’ve not tried Horizons.
The biggest math challenge for us is place value. We’ve used a variety of math resources but not Horizons.
Yes, this is our 3rd year with Horizons!
Love Horizons until fourth grade. It started getting to where their format changed a little so we are thinking about going with Lifepacs.
i enjoy elementary math, but worry about the higher maths.
I have never used Horizons Math. My most difficult thing with math is my daughter. My boys learn as I do. My daughter, just doesn’t get it! It takes lots of grace to work with her on this subject ๐
Home schooling money- we definitely need this!
Keeping their interest in what we are learning.
Haven’t used Horizons. Keeping math interesting for my artsy, language-oriented daughter is the toughest part.
My biggest challenge teaching math is trying to act like I think it’s fun. ๐ My kids enjoy it so far, but math was always a chore for me, and I don’t want my attitude to rub off on them. We have not ever tried Horizons math.
My hardest point is actually knowing that they’ve got it. My daughter has figured out patterns in Horizons that I never would have thought of. So I’m struggling at times to make sure she has truly got the skill and not that she just figured out a pattern that I haven’t seen.
I’ve never used horizons math
i was not a very strong math student, so im nervous about the higher levels of math–but for now, im okay with a pre-k and 1st grader ๐

Math period. I would rather give birth than “do math” well……maybe it’s not THAT bad but definitely need help in the math department lol
We are using Horizons right now and it is working well for us.
We have a good combination with Math on the Level and Math Mammoth.
I’m always getting things from currclick, so this would be great.
Math is my weakest subject.
Hardest part of teaching math is uncertainty as to whether my daughter is truly grasping the concepts. No I have not used horizons
I use CurrClick often-what a great resource!

biggest challenge is transferring my mathematical enthusiasm ….
they would rather go read a book or four ๐
I don’t have an organization system…yet. I do try to keep everything at floor level or a low shelf though so my daughter can access items to work with easily. We also don’t have much curriculum yet anyway.
I use many folders within folders to keep myself organized on the computer!
