What was it about your husband that you fell in love with when you met him? Was it his eyes, his singing voice, his manners? Stop for a minute and think about it, list everything that drew you to him and melded your hearts together.
Now look at your husband. Really look. Maybe he doesn’t have a full head of hair anymore, maybe he no longer plays that sport or instrument that made him attractive, but I would be willing to bet that most of the things you fell in love with are still there.
Now look at your husband again. I would be willing to bet that there are even more things that you love about him now. Has he grown wiser? Stronger? Better? Do you love the kind of father he is, how good he is at his job, how he cares and provides for you all?
I love my husband every day, wholeheartedly, in full partnership and commitment- but it’s good to stop and think about all of the things I love about him. It makes me smile and love him all the more!
Your husband is the same man you fell in love with – and so much more. Take a little bit of time today to fall in love with your husband all over again.
