I just got my butt handed to me by Jillian Michaels! Or at least, by her likeness on the 30 Day Shred DVD. Boy that was harsh! And my 1.5 lb handweights that I bought thinking they’d be easy?? Not so easy when you keep lifting them up, and up, and up, and up…

But I made it! And I’m glad it’s over. 😛

So here’s the rundown for Day 5:

Activity: The 30 Day Shred, Level 1
Activity Length: 20 minutes
Difficulty: Pretty dang tough. You start out thinking, “Yeah okay, I can do this.” Then about, oh, three minutes in you think “I am dead meat!” I had to modify things, shake out muscles, march in place and work out a kink, several times.. but I did not stop. I kept the heartrate going and I tried to keep the intensity up as much as I could. Somehow I lost count because when she said we were halfway through the last circuit I thought, “really??!” I thought we were still on the second circuit. So that’s a good thing, right?
How I feel: WORN. OUT. Parched. Shower needy.
Tomorrow: Day 2 of the Shred. Ay ay ay!!

Thursday night I’m weighing in so I can write my “check-in” post for Friday. Don’t forget that’s coming up and there will be a linky so that you can update us all on how your workouts are going. Yay!
