The first Menu Plan Monday of the whole year! Let’s see if I can make good on my new year’s “goal” of getting back to menu planning the right away. Today I only planned this week’s menu, since I don’t need to go grocery shopping yet. But at the end of this week, I’ll menu plan the next two weeks and grocery shop for that all at once using our weekly sales flyer to make the most of our money. On another note, this week’s menu isn’t as full or healthy as I’d like because *gasp!* I went grocery shopping without a list or plan – one more reason to plan ahead of time, make a list, and do it right.
This week:
Monday:
- Breakfast ~ Bagels & Cream Cheese
- Lunch ~ Sandwiches & Pretzels
- Supper ~ Chicken & Dumplings
Tuesday:
- Breakfast ~ Cereal
- Lunch ~ Tuna Salad & Crackers
- Supper ~ Taco soup & Corn Salad
Wednesday:
- Breakfast ~ Buttermilk Pancakes & Bacon
- Lunch ~ Baked Potatoes
- Supper ~ Smoked Sausage, Homemade Mac N Cheese, Veggies
Thursday:
- Breakfast ~ Cereal
- Lunch ~ Grilled Cheese & Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup
- Supper ~ Porcupine Meatballs, Veggies, Cornbread
Friday:
- Breakfast ~ Eggs & Bacon, Toast
- Nacho Supremes
- Pizza Pasta
Saturday:
- Breakfast ~ Buttermilk Biscuits, Bacon, Gravy
- Lunch ~ Leftovers
- Supper ~ Salisbury Steaks & Veggies
At some point, I also want to make this peanut butter pie that I’ve had the ingredients for but haven’t gotten around to! (I was supposed to make it on Christmas Eve – oh well!)
