We missed our first snow here while we were down at my mom’s for Christmas. The kids were thrilled to get to play in the falling snow yesterday, which swirled down in such a way I thought it was like being inside a giant snow globe. I love the pictures of the snow flakes. It was the first time the kids or I really looked at them and paid attention to them. My favorite picture, though, is the last one — my son sitting on the back of the couch watching the snow come down after coming back inside and… Read more »

Oh, fun! We get snow so infrequently, even a smattering of flurries is exciting. I’m sure that it’s a different story if you get large amounts of snow for long periods of time. But not here. =)
Cute pics. It’s supposed to snow this afternoon – 1 to 2 inches. I am in WI though and that is just another winter day. 🙂 Happy WW!!

LOL – I bet it would be funny for some little northerner kids to be at our house on a snow day. Can’t you just imagine? “What?? THAT? That’s not snow,.. that’s… a cloud sneezed or something. You should come to OUR House, see some REAL snow…” ; )
How fun!! Love big fluffy flakes.
Oh, me too! I still remember one snow we had where all the flakes were the size of quarters – it was so beautiful! This one was just as lovely. Kind of whimsical. And definitely FUN! =)
I LOVE LOVE LOVE snow! We’re supposed to get (maybe) a foot or more before Sunday!!
Cute pics! The last one especially!

Thanks, Michelle – the last one is my fave. I adore it. (Could be the subject, though.) 😉 I can’t imagine a foot of snow! The most I remember is back in the late 80’s I was in elementary school. We got several inches, but the snow drifts along the fences piled up quite nicely. My brother and I were able to use that to make a snowman. And once in high school we got several inches, enough to snow us in at my best friend’s house because of a very steep hill on their county road, and we were… Read more »
