In April. In Texas. And I have pictures to prove it. I didn’t have batteries for most of the day, so most of these are taken at dusk when I got back from the store. It snowed and piled up an inch or so and melted and snowed and piled and melted about three times.

It basically snowed all day! (I think Old Man Winter is a little confused.) After I got back with the batteries I drove around and took a few pictures.

Everything was so beautiful!

I sure hope this doesn’t affect our bluebonnet season too much!

All the whiteness didn’t come through as much as I hoped.

Okay, that is snow on an oak tree.

An oak tree, people. They aren’t used to getting their leaves snowed on!

Wow! Thanks for the pictures. Sometimes I hear our weatherman say that what happens in Texas is what we can expect here in MS. Well, I’m still waiting on the snow. Not that I’m wanting it in April, but it’s been 10 years since it snowed and amounted to anything here!! Enjoy it while you can, even though it just might affect the bluebonnets.
I was looking at the entries at Org Junkie and just happened to click on your link, so I surfed your blog some more. I’ve enjoyed what I’ve read.

So sorry about the snow–it does look beautiful on those bluebonnets to me–just a little crazy! We haven’t seen snow here in a decade!
