God Leads

Change is exciting. Change is also kind of scary – well, it is for me. I like change but I’m leery of it until I’ve decided if I like it or not. 😉

Change is in the air, it has been since January, since my husband followed God’s lead into seminary training through a local church. My brother-in-law’s church, one we used to go to as well, has begun doing seminary training to teach and equip men to be able to plant churches, teach, evangelize, and pastor. The training is good and sound. The cost is incredibly low. The fellowship, mentoring, and sharpening my husband gains by being in this group of men is priceless.

Why did my husband feel led to do this? We don’t know yet. We just know that God put it on his heart to do it.

We don’t know how God will use him.

We don’t know when God will use him.

We don’t know WHERE God will use him.

Mostly, I am excited and thrilled. I would be lying if I said that I am never nervous about what the future might hold. But when that happens, when that unsettling thought begins to creep in at the back of my head, I hand those thoughts right back to The Enemy and I cling tight to God.

Above all else, I trust God. I am committed to following my husband wherever we truly believe God is leading us to go. (Because we don’t believe He will only call my husband, we believe if He calls us to go, He will call US.)

Wherever God calls your husband and you, whether He leads you through a desert or a high place, into ministry or missions, into something like homeschooling or self-employment or just leading a bible study — know that you can trust Him. Know that you won’t be alone! Wherever God leads you, God will be there with you.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

Hey, y’all! I’m Amber and I wear many hats. I drink a ton of coffee and I’m constantly sweeping crumbs off the floor. After 18 years of homeschooling, I’m getting close to graduating my third child and now we are starting over at preschool with our fourth, Lil Miss Mouse. She keeps us young and she’s the main reason for my excessive coffee consumption. Drink up!
