The week with the break that wasn’t all it cracked up to be…

In my life this week…

Monday began with our usual routine of a little extra house cleaning before beginning school, when suddenly I remembered: “Wait?? Is this a school break week??” Yes, yes it was! I immediately had all these hopes and expectations for all the house cleaning, bookkeeping and organizing that would get done. One of these days I’m going to learn not to get my hopes up. = \ Still, there were some good things. We helped some friends do some packing for a move and even though we were working we had a good time. We had our first blast of cold air that feels like fall/winter. It wasn’t a bad week, it’s just that my house doesn’t look any better than it did LAST week!

Yeah, don’t forget about your breaks and let them sneak up on you! =p

I am inspired by…

The Operation Christmas Child stories. I wrote about how I’m teaming up with them to promote OCC and because of that I’ve followed their Facebook page. The stories and pictures they share every day inspire me. They also show how amazingly God is sovereign, how He gets the right boxes to the right kids. It’s amazing.

My favorite thing this week was…

The cold weather. Or not. I have a love/hate relationship with winter weather..

Hey, y’all! I’m Amber and I wear many hats. I drink a ton of coffee and I’m constantly sweeping crumbs off the floor. After 18 years of homeschooling, I’m getting close to graduating my third child and now we are starting over at preschool with our fourth, Lil Miss Mouse. She keeps us young and she’s the main reason for my excessive coffee consumption. Drink up!
